Kit in front of Becket Billboard (8)
While practicing a sword fighting scene in Hamlet, Richard Burton accidentally stabbed Kit in the throat. Kit was rushed to the hospital and stitched up and Richard with his well known sense of humor, sent Kit a card made like a purple heart saying "I did it, I did it". To this day Kit still has a tiny scar.
Richard Burton was an immensely charismatic, charming and fun man who Kit feels privileged to have known. When Kit's mother was dying of cancer at home, Richard took the time to call her. This kindness has never been forgotten.
